Cannabis Legalization in Canada Creates Need for Workplace Awareness for Employers and Employees
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS./TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, AUGUST 15, 2019 – Area9 Lyceum and International Cannabis Solutions (ICS) are partnering to deliver adaptive learning-based corporate education on cannabis and the workplace in Canada. . The objective is to help employers and employees understand cannabis use and how it affects the workplace.
Following the legalization of cannabis in Canada, ICS has developed international, multi-language, evidence-based workplace programs on medical and legal adult use cannabis. Now, ICS solutions will be delivered via Area9 Lyceum’s world-class Area9 Rhapsode™ adaptive learning platform, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver personalized instruction.
The combination of ICS workplace programs on cannabis and Area9’s adaptive learning solutions addresses the important need for public education as recommended by The Task Force on Cannabis Legislation and Regulation of Canada. In addition to legalization in Canada, thirty-three states and the District of Columbia in the U.S. have passed laws broadly legalizing marijuana in some form. Education to address the risks, compliance, and safety issues associated with cannabis use will help foster social responsibility on the part of employers and their employee populations, while avoiding misinformation that can create health, safety, and other social issues.
Personalized adaptive learning is a scalable solution that can shift the cost equation dramatically compared to traditional learning methods.
